Variations on an Andante of Nikita Koshkin

Written in 1997-98 this piece was the result of an exchange of themes between Duarte, the Czech guitarist/composer Štĕpán Rak and the Russian composer, Nikita Koshkin. This is the second theme Koshkin supplied Duarte, the first having inadvertently been used for a trio, Op.120. One of the variations quotes Rak's theme to Duarte and the Finale recapitulates the earlier variations, à la Koshkin.
