John W. Duarte - Guitar Composer, Arranger, Teacher and Writer

Little Suite No. 2 Op. 79 for Three Guitars was written for the 1979 Cannington International Guitar Summer School, Somerset, England, of which Duarte was the course director for 20 years (1973-1993). Three of its four short movements, Waltz, Pastorale, Musette and Finale are in classical dance forms and all are thematically related to each other.

These 7 sonatas show Duarte's lifelong commitment to ensemble playing. They are suitable for lessons, informal music-making and concert use.
