Round O (Variations on a Theme of Henry Purcell)

Written in 2003 for the Venezuelan guitarist, Gabriel Guillén, to whom the music is also dedicated. The theme used, Henry Purcell's harpsichord piece, Rondo O, was suggested by Guillén and is the famous 'Rondeau' from Purcell's Abdelazer Suite. Purcell was a frequent source for Duarte's compositions and arrangements.
