Nuages Passants (Homage to Django Reinhardt)

Written in 1986, the Brazilian guitarist, Marcelo Kayath, suggested that Duarte should write variations on this Django Reinhardt tune, but the Norwegian guitarist, Stein-Erik Olsen, gave the first performance and the music is also dedicated to him. Duarte uses the original version of the tune, rather than the later, less chromatic published version, which was used by Leo Brouwer. This commission was funded by the Norwegian State Concert Agency 'Rikskonsertene'.
