Hark, Hark the Ark!

Written in 1987 for the British singer, Jacqueline Fox and guitarist, Raymond Burley, to whom the music is also dedicated (not written on the printed score). The texts are by the British comedy performer, Spike Milligan, who rose to fame as part of The Goon Show, a BBC radio programme in the 1950s. Milligan was a Duarte favourite and these concise settings bring out the best in composer and lyricist.

Instrumentation: High voice and guitar.
