Friends and Lovers

Written in 1984 to a commission by the British singer, Jacqueline Fox and guitarist, Michael Edmonds. Fox gave Duarte a selection of poems, out of which he chose five, mostly by more modern poets.

This commission was funded by The Arts Council of Great Britain.

Instrumentation: High voice and guitar.
