A Flight of Fugues

Written in 1970 at the request of the Netherlands guitarist, Pieter van der Staak. He wanted to introduce fugues to his students, but found all the material too hard. The music is written for one or two guitars. The first is a jazz fugue, the second is based on the fugue theme from Manuel María Ponce's Folias de España Variations et Fugue and the third is polytonal.
