A Cradle Song
Written in 1950 and first printed in 'Guitar Review' (No.12), the text is by Padraic Colum (1881-1972), from his collection Wild Earth (1907). The dedication reads, "In appreciation of the supreme artistry of Olga Coelho". It was thought that it was also a celebration of the birth of Miguel Coelho, Coelho's son with Andrés Segovia, but Duarte knew nothing about it.
Instrumentation: High voice and guitar.
